June 25, 2019 – Anti-choice propaganda movie “Unplanned” could incite violence against providers. The American film “Unplanned” preaches an absolutist and extreme case against abortion that has nothing to do with reality.
May 23, 2019 – Report from the Frontlines: Toronto’s Counter-Protest to the “March for Life” By Tina Beier. “It was uplifting to see so many people banding together to defend the rights of women and transgender people.”
March 24, 2019 – Submitting Complaints Against Anti-Choice Ads – Have you seen an anti-choice ad that offended or upset you? Or it appeared inaccurate or misleading? March 13, 2018: Missing Canada Summer Jobs Funds – Some Anti-Choice Groups Reported ZERO Federal Funding to the Canada Revenue Agency Join us with #SummerJobsW5 as we examine the Elephant in the Room and ask “Where is the federal revenue?” Anti-choice groups have been very vocal about losing access to the federal Canada Summer Jobs Program but have they been as vocal to donors, CRA, and other interested parties about the amounts they receive? Have they reported federal funding on their CRA T3010 charity returns?

August 22, 2017: Joint letter to the Mayor of Ottawa and Council, urging them to end the practice of proclaiming “March for Life Day” and approving anti-choice flag-raisings. (letter from ARCC, Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights, Planned Parenthood Ottawa, and Ontario Women’s Committee for Unifor Canada.)

April 8, 2017: Letter to City of Prince Albert, SK, asking the city – again – to not approve an anti-choice flag and proclamation. The City has allowed an anti-choice flag to be flown at City Hall for the last eight years as part of a “Celebrate Life Week” that the City has also officially proclaimed. The flag and proclamation are discriminatory against women and transgender people. Also see our letter of May 15, 2016.
March 27, 2017: Failures by City of Peterborough Led to Anti-Choice Ads on Buses – The City of Peterborough bears the blame for the offensive anti-choice ad that ran on buses from April 1 to July 2017. This article explains eight different failures by the City.

January 3, 2017: – Please urge City of Peterborough to cancel anti-choice ads on buses, now that an Alberta court has ruled against the ads. We’ve prepared sample letters and contact information to make it easy. Also, please read the June 2016 letter from ARCC’s lawyer Donald Crane, explaining why the City of Peterborough was wrong to accept the ads, and the legal grounds they could have cited to refuse the ad.
January 3, 2017 – Anti-Abortion Bus Ads Nixed – Alberta City Wins Lawsuit. For safety reasons, the City of Peterborough should now refuse the same ad. The Alberta court ruled that the CCBR’s free speech rights are outweighed by the harm the ad would cause to the City of Grande Prairie’s ability to “maintain a safe and viable community”. Further, the court said the ad would likely cause psychological harm to women who have had an abortion or may be considering one.
May 15, 2016 – Letter to City of Prince Albert, SK, asking the city to stop approving anti-choice flags and proclamations. The City has allowed an anti-choice flag to be flown at City Hall for the last seven years, as part of a “Celebrate Life Week” that the City has also officially proclaimed. These discriminatory actions by the city must end.
March 8, 2016 – Letter to City of Peterborough, to Protest Allowing Anti-choice Ads on Buses – “CCBR ad contravenes the Charter’s Section 15, AND the Canadian Advertising Code” – This letter was sent to the City of Peterborough via email on Feb 25. We asked the City to rescind its approval of offensive anti-choice ads to appear on backs of buses, sponsored by the extremist group “Centre for Bioethical Reform”.
December 15, 2015 – ARCC is pleased to announce our revised Vision and Mission and our expanded Mandate to support Reproductive Justice. ARCC supports the concept of Reproductive Justice because we recognize that the sexual and reproductive health and rights of people from many diverse communities are disproportionately affected by marginalization and oppression. Reproductive Justice needs in Canada cover a broad spectrum and ARCC therefore endorses a variety of programs or rights to ensure justice for all women and marginalized groups. May 24, 2015 – Our letter of complaint to the Regional District of Central Okanagan, which approved a permit for an anti-choice display and event in a public park in Kelowna. Signs and volunteers basically advocated the restriction of pregnant people’s Charter rights by falsely claiming they have abortions right up to the ninth month of pregnancy.
July 23, 2014 – Does your Provincial Health Hotline Refer for Abortion Services Appropriately? When a retired nurse called Telecare NB for information on abortion services in New Brunswick, she was shocked to be referred to Birthright, an anti-abortion agency. How does your province’s healthline deal with such calls?
April 9, 2014 – Morgentaler Clinic in Fredericton to Close – It’s a dark day for New Brunswick women. For over 25 years, the Province has shown callous disregard for women’s health and rights.
March 29, 2014 – ARCC has sent this letter and Position Paper against parental consent laws to all Saskatchewan Members of Parliament, in response to an anti-choice campaign that seeks to pass a law in Saskatchewan mandating parental consent for abortion. Such a law would be unconstitutional and harmful to the health of youth.
January 29, 2013 – ARCC has sent an Open Letter to the mayor and council of Abbotsford BC, asking them to rescind their approval of an anti-choice sign beside the freeway, displayed along with 1000s of crosses in a farmer’s field.
January 2012 – Don’t Be Fooled by Fake Clinics – The Kamloops Pregnancy Care Centre has been selected as a charity beneficiary for the Christmas Cheer Fund by the Kamloops Daily News, but do people really understand what this centre stands for? It’s an anti-abortion Christian ministry that tries to dissuade women from having abortions.
October 26, 2012 – ARCC’s letter to Governor General David Johnston and Prime Minister Stephen Harper demanding the retraction of Diamond Jubilee medals awarded to two convicted criminals – anti-choice protesters Linda Gibbons and Mary Wagner.

August 2012 – ARCC asks the Western Fair District to stop its long-standing practice of allowing an anti-choice exhibit at the Western Fair in London, Ontario. The exhibit appears to violate several clauses of the Fair’s rules and regulations. It also “offends the spirit of a family fair, exploits and manipulates children, negates the right to privacy of parents, abuses the trust of parents, presents one-sided propaganda, and promotes discrimination against women”.
March 2012 – Kickstarting PEI’s Pro-choice Movement – Kandace Hagen shares her courageous personal story of how she struck back against the PEI health system that failed her. She succeeded in increasing national awareness about the lack of abortion services on PEI and forcing the Province to address it.
March 2012 – Angus Reid Takes Sides – With the Anti-Choice – In February, the polling agency Angus Reid lashed out angrily at ARCC’s exposure of their latest poll as fatally flawed and biased, confirming our suspicions that Angus Reid has lost all impartiality and become stridently anti-choice.

September 2010 – What the Pollster Didn’t Ask: Biased Poll Fuels Anti-Abortion Myths. A recent misleading poll by Angus Reid betrays a strong anti-abortion bias in favour of a new abortion law for Canada.
July 2010 – Anti-abortionists continue to ignore all the evidence: Rebutting Andrea Mrozek’s and Rebecca Walberg’s extremely weak rebuttal (on estimating numbers of maternal deaths from unsafe abortion).
